I have had the privilege of teaching God’s Word to a local Mexican girl named Adriana. Nearly a month ago now she agreed to meet with me once a day so I could ‘practice teaching in Spanish’. For four weeks we met every day discussing Bible lessons in chronological order, beginning with Adam and Eve and working on through Cain and Able, Noah and the ark, all the way to Christ and His payment for our sins. This afternoon Adriana told me (in Spanish of course), “For my entire life I have been an enemy of God because I am a sinner, a child of Adam and Eve, but now I am a friend of God.” I then asked her how she could be so sure that she was a friend of God and had eternal life. She replied, “I decided to trust in Christ and what He did on the cross.” I asked her what else she needed to do. She replied, “There is nothing else to do. Christ did it all.”
Praise God along with us for this victory. And please pray that Adriana will continue to seek His face. She wants to continue to meet every day to continue the teaching.
